For those who know me, I have been hosting this event annually for about 10 years... This Event is in honour of local celebrity Avirl Lavinge's Birthday. This year it is a big one... 40 years old. I am from Haldimand County, and even before I became a Geocacher 12 years ago, i used to stop in Napanee when passing thru.. (the home town of talented Avirl Lavigne). When i did become a Geocacher, I was happy to learn of the annual L&A Mega here every year, and i have made many great friends here over the years.
Even if you are not an Avril Fan, please come out and enjoy catching up with some Geocachers, share some local stories.. This event is held at a local park at the Pavilion so if it rains we can keep dry..
There will be a cake, and some light refreshments. There is no charge for this event. I look forward to seeing everyone. Happy Birthday Avril and happy Geocaching Everyone. Thank you everyone for always making me feel welcome in your wonderful little town.
