Months and months ago, we came down this trail, stepped off towards the water, and saw at least 10 great blue herons swoopping from nest to nest over the water. We knew when we started hiding caches, this had to be a spot for one. Should be an easy grab - more interested in getting people down to check out the wildlife off this trail. Would definitely suggest coming through in mid to late May to see if you get the same amazing view!
