Cuffman Street Elementary School is an Anglophone School which opened on Fredericton's Northside on Sept 4, 2024. It was built to relieve the overcrowding being experienced at Gibson-Neill Memorial and Park Street Elementary Schools. It is a Kindergarten-Grade 5 School with 26 classrooms built to accommodate 500 students. It includes a library space with learning stairs, a cafeteria with a stage that is shared with the main gymnasium, music and performing arts rooms, multi-function rooms and an early learning room.
As a child I got to attend Kennebecasis Park Elementary when it first opened when I was in Grade 5. I remember how exciting that was, even though I would be leaving some school friends behind at Rothesay Elementary School. Back in those days Elementary went to Grade 6 and then Junior High School went from Grade 7-9.
Although the cache is hidden well away from the building it is still on school property so restict your hunt time to be well outside school hours.
