Welcome to My Tall Friend! This geocache is nestled high up in the branches of a tree, 20 feet above the ground, and it’s not for the faint-hearted or the vertigo-prone. A long pole and a keen sense of precision will be your best allies in this vertical adventure.
Our cache container, a large bison tube adorned with white paint, has been placed to remind you of the lofty heights of our tall friend. While the cache may not be tall itself, for a bison I’d say it’s definitely above average. Placed in a secluded picnic area of this popular park, it loves being able to look down from its perch and enjoy the view.
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CLIMB THE TREE. It wouldn’t be easy to mount and I’m not sure how someone would be able to do it easily, but there is a more straightforward way. Bring something long, steady hands, and some patience. This park can get busy, so try to find a window of time without too many people around.
