This is one of a series of caches in Lochnagar Woods, a pleasant area of woodland and open ground around the hilltop north of Peterculter.
Parking is on road as appropriate. Note however that the track running along the north edge of the woods is not suitable for traffic. Therefore, even if it looks like it on the map, you cannot drive through from School Road to the minor road out towards the bypass (or vice versa).
Access directly into the woods can be made at various points along the west side (from School Road), or likewise from the track along the northern edge. The east and southern boundaries are closed off by adjacent housing, although there is one access point on the southern edge (immediately south of the first cache in this series). This is reached along a gravel track from Lochnagar Road, to where a small path leads uphill between small shed / garages.
There are various small paths within the woods; all caches are on or relatively close to a path. To do the set you will not therefore need to cut across large amounts of undergrowth. Not however that the connecting paths are not always very direct – enjoy exploring 😊.
