Geocache Description:

This is a replacement of VS #1815 - Epping2, GC9M6PX which has been archived - this time as a letter box hybrid in a different place.

The cache is not found at this GPS, it's the location of one of the very handsome village signs to be found at either end of Epping. However, you will need to visit this village sign to find the information to solve the following. (It is not identical to the sign at the other end of town)

The cache is to be found at:

N 51 41.ABC E 0 06.DFG

Where:

A is the number of G's multiplied by the number of B's minus the number of Q's

B is the number of lobes on the bottom two oak leaves

C is the number of I's on the sign (capital i)

D is the number of blades of short grass

F is the regnal number of the king on the sign

G is the number of points on the deer's antlers (assuming symmetry)

The stamp needs to stay in the cache as that is part of being a letterbox hybrid cache.

There is no room for swappables or trackables.

About Village Sign Caches

⠀

This cache belongs to the Village Sign Series, a series of caches based on ornate signs that depict the heritage, history and culture of the villages that put them up (generally on the village green!).

The signs can be made of different materials from fibreglass to wood, from forged steel to stone. They can depict anything from local industry to historical events. The tradition probably started in Norfolk or Suffolk and has now spread across most of the country so we thought we would base a series on them!

More information, bookmarks and statistics can be found at the Village Signs Website

If anybody would like to expand the Village Sign Series, please do.
I would ask that you request a number for your cache first at www.villagesignseries.co.uk
so we can keep track of the Village Sign numbers and names to avoid duplication.
