After some time out on the farm folks felt the need to talk with friends and family. Often that required a ride to town and a visit to the pay phone. Something is seriously wrong with the local phone. The complaints are about the operator. Their voice is less than pleasant, somewhat eerie. And when you do get connected you can hear screaming in the background, paired with demonic laughter. I tried the phone myself but did not get the operator. Why don't you try, if you dare?
