Did you know that Portugal is the world's leader and exporter of cork; they produce over 50% of the cork used globally!
Did you know that Italy produces 19% of the world's wine?
So it would only make sense that a LOT of that cork produced in Portugal makes the short jump over to Italy so that their wine can be corked and sold!
