Several players thought Walmart Man's cache was missing. Right after I started a cache in this location, a group of players spotted his old container tethered in place. I archived my cache so that I could resurrect his old cache. I've cleaned up the container and added a new log inside of a ziploc bag. The old log is very damp. After I can get it to dry out I'll place it back in the container. I also added some trade items. So please, if you take a piece of swag, leave a piece of swag. I also set a seperate container in there to be a travel bug hotel. That was one of the goals the previous cache owner had for this location.
Some facts about Walmart Man -
On August 2, 2003 he joined Geocaching, and on the same day he hid the cache you'll be looking for. He called it, " Walmart Man's First And Travel Bug Hotel". I've been told that he's in his 80's now and doesn't geocache anymore.
Before he stopped, he found 2,658 caches. At one point, he had a total of 63 cache hides. His first find was, GCA1, A Walk In The Park. That cache is still hidden in this park. You could say that he is one of the pioneers of geocaching. To all geocachers, have a great time!
