G'day Nanaimo! Sup, eh?! Us novos will be here for a white Christmas in '24 and would love to meet some local geocachers for our cachiversary!
Sure, an event indoors at this time of year would be more fitting weather-wise BUT the posted coords is literally team novo GZ. You see, we stumbled across geocaching as muggles RIGHT HERE exactly nine years ago to the day (Christmas eve, 2015) when we inadvertently found Maya's Great Blue Heron Cache ...and have been geocaching ever since!
So, we'll be right here all rugged up at the duck pond in Bowen Park from 11am to noon on Tuesday the 24th, and we'll aim to bring some Australian treats with us for you to try; such as some Freddo Frogs and Tim Tams... I say "try"; they might get pinched by our muggle Canadian family before the event. Conversely, we aussies are massive fans of your epic Skor Bar ...so if worse comes to worst we'll bring a pile of those. After all - it's Christmas!
We are looking forward to sharing your/ our geo-stories and maybe trading some TBs. Perhaps you have some TBs with you which may want to travel back with us down under??! We have a fantastic TB story or two ourselves :D
You might consider logging a Will attend, even if you reckon you're not 100% sure you'll make it/ weather permiting. Gives us a rough idea of how many Tim Tams to bring!!
