Coughton Court, hidden yet standing proud amongst the nearby ancient woodland with rolling hills, mystical hedgerow oaks, diverse and dreamlike fields, historic parklands, and numerous areas of former wood-pasture, and narrow, meandering river corridors.
Since 1946, the National Trust has looked after Coughton Court and taken on the role of opening it up to visitors and displaying the astonishing gardens and land, including a lake, river, apple orchards, famous walled gardens, and perfectly manicured back lawns. Whilst the historic family occupy the North Wing, the tower and South Wing are open to visitors to explore the rich and meticulously looked after interior. From 2023 – 2025, Coughton Court underwent a massive large-scale conservation and repair project to address deterioration and implement improvements to prevent further decline. If you were lucky enough to visit during this time, the National Trust team was able to present a unique opportunity to learn and explore a property whilst the major works were being undertaken
