At first glance, it looks like a waterfall, but it is not a waterfall flowing down from a river, but a waterfall created by spring water overflowing from the lava of Mt. The water temperature of the spring water is almost 10 degrees Celsius throughout the year. In summer, the difference in temperature between the cold spring water and the surrounding area creates fog at the water's edge, creating a fantastic sight.
一見、普通の滝のように見えますが、川から流れ落ちる滝ではなく、鳥海山の溶岩の末端崖からあふれ出す湧水がつくる滝です。落差5mほどで、湧き出す水温は1年を通してほぼ10度。夏になると冷たい湧水と周辺の気温差によって、水辺からは霧が生じ、それはそれは幻想的な景観を見せてくれます。伏流水沿いはまさに天然のクーラー！水辺にうっすらとボヤがかかってる風景は、目を疑ってしまうほど。でもそれは本物です。キャッシュは？
