Alameda de los Caches - Welcome!
Alameda de los Caches (ADLC) is a power trail spanning five miles along Alameda de las Pulgas between San Carlos and Woodside. The goal was to bring variety to the cache types in the area, with ten letterboxes, ten multis, and ten challenges making up the thirty-cache series. Please use stealth, replace all caches as found, and as always, enjoy!
LETTERBOX: This cache is not at the posted coordinates. Follow the directions below to discover the true location of the cache. Do not take the stamp inside the cache.
From the sidewalk, stand in front of the two electrical boxes at GZ and face the street. You should see a giant astronomical power source smiling back at you. Count the number of rays this gaseous sphere has, divide by two, then call that number B. KEEP TRACK OF THE CORRECT ANSWER! It will be used for the finale cache (GCAY8ER).
Q = 22.5*B
T = 15*B
*these are not exact bearings, follow common sense rules.*
With a bearing of Q degrees, cross the street, then with a bearing of T degrees, walk B*4 yards to the final location. Look magnetic and low.
