Wentworth Park has been the location of circuses over the years, but there is no real connection to this place and a circus when it comes to my Dad. He brought us here once in the 1970’s to see the Birmingham Football Club play a game. I think the English beat the local team.
The one circus I did see here was the Cold Chisel Circus Animals concert some time in the 80s. Jimmy Barnes went up the rope on that motorcycle trapeze and dropped his empty bottle of scotch…on my friend’s head! Great show!
