Sapas dzirnavas un krogs

Šajā vietā pie Sapām Valmieras - Cēsu šosejas malā atradās dzirnavu ezers, uzpludināts uz Miegupītes. Unikālais objekts celts 18. gadsimta 80. gados. Pirmo reizi Sapas dzirnavu dambis tika pārrauts 1931 gada aprīļa beigās kad no krastiem izgāja Gauja, izskalojot un sagraujot dzirnavu ēkas stūri. Šajā laikā uzreiz tika atrasti līdzekļi atjaunošanai. 1962. gada augustā vasaru lietavu laikā dzirnavu dambis tika izskalots otrreiz. Pēc tam dambis vairs nav atjaunots, un Sapas ezers ainaviski vairs nepastāv. Šobrīd ir redzams viens dambja posms, kurš atrodas privātīpašumā un ir apskatāms no attāluma. Pašas dzirnavas ir sabrukušas.

The dam of the Sapa mill was breached for the first time at the end of April 1931, when the river Gauja came out of the banks, washing away and destroying the corner of the mill building. At this time funds were immediately found for restoration. In August 1962, during the summer rains, the mill dam was washed out a second time. After that, the dam has not been restored, and Lake Sapa no longer exists scenically
Currently, one section of the dam is visible, which is on private property and can be viewed from a distance. The mill itself has collapsed.
