A little history about the term:
WORD SALAD

As of this writing in 2024, I've been hearing the term Word Salad a lot. I don't think I have ever heard this term before. So I decide to do some research to see if it has any history behind it in the English language. I was amazed at how much I learned about it. But to keep it short here is one interesting thing I found...

The term "Word Salad" was first used in the context of psychiatry in the early 1900's, particularly associated with the work of psychiatrist Eugen Bleuler. He used it to describe disorganized speech that often occurs in schizophrenia. The concept has since been applied more broadly to refer to nonsensical or jumbled language.

CACHE HUNT DESCRIPTION

Seeing how I am always coming up with strange ideas in my unconventional way of thinking, I came up with a unique puzzle idea for a cache hunt. When I created this puzzle, the entire paragraph made clear sense of what needed to be done. Then I turned paragraph into 'Word Salad'. And just for the final touch, I added some dressing on top of that. Now all you have to do is remove the dressing and 'de-Salad-tize' it. Is 'de-Salad-tize' even a word? Well, for this cache, it is!
