Geocache Description:

The Heart Beat of this small community!  Memories of safe Halloween activities & trick - or - treating, den meetings, karate lessons, and line dancing.

This unique Letterbox tour is only available

M - F 8am - 7pm.

(May be closed some holidays, check hint #1 for contact)

Geocache is placed on premises with permission.  A 'TOTT' may be needed by some geocachers to retrieve this cache.

I strongly suggest printing out a copy of the Cryptic puzzle, found in the cache gallery, and bringing it with you - it'll make it easier to keep track of all the clues you'll be gathering.  I've added pictures to the gallery for each of the stops in case they don't show up in the text on your device.

Once you've parked your Geomobile, or however you arrive, make your way to the posted starting point.  You'll find yourself near the swings and a nice little park nestled in this neighborhood.  During the tour you'll be stopping to gather information from different signage to help you find Ground Zero.

Head North and stop by the play structure.  If there is a double lane slide, go to the left of the large planter box in front of the community center, if there is a triple lane slide go to the right of the planter box.  If you made the correct choice, and they haven't remodeled the playground, you'll be able to read the plaque in front of the tree.  Stop #1

Once you've finished taking note of all these clues, continue on and enter the doors below the '509'.  Be sure to not move faster than reading this tour guide.

The first area of interest you'll see on your right is the gym.  The door is usually open, but even if it's not, this sign can be found above doors to the outside.  Add these clues to your puzzle.  Stop #2

The Recreation Office is ahead and it'll be on your right as you turn to your left.  If there's somebody in the office, feel free to smile and wave as your continue on your tour. They are very supportive of having the cache placed, but don't ask them where it's at. During this tour I hope you'll notice bulletin boards, posters, plaques, murals, and pictures along the walls as you make your way down the hallways.  After passing by the office, you'll pass the Clawson Senior Center on your left, kitchen doors straight ahead, which are probably closed and only accessed by staff.  On your right, before reaching the next corner you'll see a cool plaque - Stop #3

- what a great accomplishment and recognition.

Turn right and as you do, you should notice 4 wooden doors on your left.  Find the following two doors and the next set of clues.

The first door you need to decipher is just to the left of the 'ENGINEERING' door and has 4 less letters.  Stop #4

Now tackle the next set of clues.  Stop #5

All done?  Ready to continue?  Are you starting to see a pattern in the puzzle?  Let's move on.  Depending on when you visit, you'll probably notice some activity in this area.  You'll be passing by several areas that are used by the Spanish Pre-school.  At the next corner, before turning, you may notice a couple of doors ahead.  I don't know where the one to the left leads, but the one straight ahead leads to a carpeted room that is also connected to a second room with smooth floor, mirrows & a long bar along one wall.  They use these rooms for mutiple purposes. Quilting was posted at the time and I wouldn't be surprised if they offer dance or ballet in the connected room.  Once you've turned the corner to the right, you'll pass by a window on your right and can see the inner small courtyard with play houses, toilage, and walkways for the young children.  Continue to the end of the hall, passing by rooms on both sides, but stop before going out the doors.  Look to your right and up and you'll notice two intersting signs that will provide you with your next set of clues.  Stop #6

Yes, I know, you've seen some of thes number/letter combinations already, which should help confirm how this puzzle is coming together.  It may seem like gibberish, but I'm sure you'll be able to figure it out by the time you have all the clues.  One more stop.  Go ahead and go out the door and down the ramp to your right.  Your last stop is at the playground sign.  You'll want to check out the bland looking side (i.e. black & white on tan) for your last set of clues.  Stop #7

Now that you've gathered all the clues it's time to populate the cryptic puzzle, if you haven't done so already.  You may notice a couple of blanks, since 1 letter has not been encountered along this tour.  Try to figure this out before checking the hint (which may or may not help for some). There's a slight twist to figuring out the puzzle to reveal the location of GZ.

Thank you for coming along on this unique Letterbox tour.  I've left some PathTags for FTF, STF,& TTF finders and some swag for trade.

The stamp is NOT swag - please do not take it, it is part of the Letterbox hybrid cache.  The log can be stamped or signed - no lines to worry about here. In some instances, a TOTT may be necessary as mentioned at the beginning.

*****CONGRATULATIONS to HelloLola for FTF*****
