Eagle Claw and Cowboy were about to make camp south of Cortez. Cowboy said, "Eagle Claw, you hunt east and I will hunt west and see if we can scare up some Prairie Chickens for dinner. I bet you a silver dollar I get more than you do!" Eagle Claw scoffed and said "I will get more. And I will use my bow and you can use your gun. Off they went and after an hour or so, Eagle Claw spotted a group of Prairie Chickens and swiftly dismounted and snuck up on a hill overlooking the flock of birds. He quickly nocked an arrow and let it fly. One Prairie Chicken down and soon Eagle Claw picked off two more. Eagle Claw heard a shot in the distance and headed back to camp. He arrived with three Prairie Chickens hanging from his belt. Cowboy tossed a silver dollar to Eagle Claw and said, "You win I never saw a Prairie Chicken, but I did get a rabbit. We will eat good tonight."
