Dal nascondiglio di questo geocache potrete ammirare un suggestivo scorcio sul paese di Acquapendente. Inoltre vi troverete di fronte a questa suggestiva torre. 
La Torre del Barbarossa è l'unica parte rimanente dell'antico castello di Federico Barbarossa, distrutto nel 1166 durante la rivolta dei cittadini che portò alla nascita della Festa della Madonna del Fiore e alla connessa tradizione dei Pugnaloni.
La torre, imponente e maestosa, si sviluppa per alcune decine di metri, ed è composta da tre ordini: quello di base, che è di forma piramidale, quello di mezzo, nel quale è ospitato il grande orologio, e quello superiore, con una seconda torretta interamente merlata.
Il parco che si sviluppa tutto intorno alla torre si è venuto formando nel secondo dopoguerra dopo esser stato per tutto l’ottocento coltivato ad orto, a seminativo ed a vigneto da parte di vari proprietari tra cui i frati di San Francesco e San Agostino, la confraternita della Buona Morte, del S. Sacramento ed altri enti e privati cittadini.

From the hiding place of this geocache you can admire a suggestive view of the town of Acquapendente. You will also find yourself in front of this suggestive tower.
The Barbarossa Tower is the only remaining part of the ancient castle of Frederick Barbarossa, destroyed in 1166 during the citizens' revolt that led to the birth of the Feast of the Madonna del Fiore and the related tradition of the Pugnaloni.
The tower, imposing and majestic, extends for a few dozen meters, and is composed of three orders: the base, which is pyramidal in shape, the middle, which houses the large clock, and the upper, with a second entirely crenellated turret.
The park that extends all around the tower was formed in the post-war period after having been cultivated throughout the nineteenth century as a vegetable garden, arable land and vineyard by various owners including the friars of San Francesco and San Agostino, the brotherhood of the Buona Morte, of the S. Sacramento and other entities and private citizens.
