Located at East 9th Street and Grand Avenue, the Capitol is set atop a hill and offers a panoramic view of the city's downtown and the West Capitol Terrace. Construction was between 1871 and 1886, and the building is the only five-domed capitol in the country. While the capitol building was dedicated on January 17, 1884, it did not complete construction until sometime in 1886. On October 21, 1976 it was placed on the National Register of Historic Places.
With this Adventure Lab, you will get a tour of the grounds around the historic building. You can drive around the grounds, but it is more amazing to walk around and see everything there is to see around the building. Enjoy your tour!
