Minmi
Minmi is an outer western suburb of Newcastle, NSW, located 19 kms from Newcastle's CBD. It is part of the City of Newcastle local government area. Minmi was an important coal mining centre with the first discovery of coal in 1835 before J & A Brown acquired all land and mining rights in Minmi in the 1860s.
