This Community Celebration Event is being held at the Lehigh Gap Nature Center in Slatington, PA. The nature center is located at the end of Paint Mill Road, just north of the town of Slatington, PA.
The date is Saturday, May 10, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon. I have reserved the outdoor pavillion for the event. This event will be held rain or shine. Come and share your geocaching stories with your fellow cachers. You can also spend some time exploring around the nature center, see the indoor displays in the Osprey House Visitor Center, plus explore the grounds around the visitor center. There are also plenty of hiking trails nearby for those wanting to do some hiking after the event, and you can also bring your bicycle and ride along the D&L Rail Trail.
There are 2 parking areas: one directly in front of the Osprey House Visitor Center and one a few hundred feet up the road, closer to the hiking trails. When you arrive, take the stairs down or the stone path down the hill on the left side of the building to the lower area and you will see the pavillion to your left.
Traffic/Road Construction Note: For those of you coming from the north on Route 248 South, please be aware that the bridge at the intersection of Route 248 and Route 873 is closed for repairs. You will have to take the detour: stay on Route 248 South to Route 145 South and then make a right through Walnutport (turn right at the McDonalds). Go thru town and then turn right onto Route 873 North and head up to Paint Mill Road.
