Just over two years ago, a friend introduced me to the ukulele and I have been playing it a lot lately. Perhaps you heard me mention it once or twice. 😝
I have never tried to teach anyone how to play. Luckily, the ukulele is pretty easy to learn. With this lesson, I will attempt to teach some basics to take anyone from a newbie to strumming some chords to play along to a song. Singing and playing? If we have some singers attending, that would be helpful. I can't sing at all. Let's see how this goes.
Location
North York Central Library
Meeting Room 1
Saturday, April 26, 2025, 14:00 - 16:00
Lesson from 14:10 - 15:30. We can chat after the lesson.
You do not need to bring a ukulele to attend the event. However, I think you will enjoy this more if you have one. Maybe you know someone who can lend one to you. When logging your Will Attend, please indicate if you have a ukulele.
I will bring some of my ukes or those borrowed from friends. Depending on how many attend, there may not be enough for everyone. Please send me a message if you are interested to reserve a ukulele that will be brought for the event or borrow one from another source (free if you are eligible).
The library is connected to North York Centre subway station.
Hope by the end, you will learn a few things and have a good time.
