World Postcard Day, celebrated on October 1st, is a global event that highlights the joy of sending and receiving postcards. It’s a day to appreciate the art of personal correspondence and connect with others through a simple yet meaningful gesture. Whether it's a scenic view, a heartfelt note, or a quirky design, postcards offer a tangible way to share moments and stories across distances. Join in the celebration by sending a postcard and spreading a little happiness around the world!
I thought Highgate Hill Park would be the perfect location for a postcard-worthy view of the city. Please come along for a few minutes or as long as you like to enjoy the view and a chat. I will be wearing a Geocaching shirt so you can recognise me.
I will be there for the duration of the event but feel free to turn up whenever you like. Sunrise on the day will be at 5:27am.
Postcard Exchange
Join us for a round of postcard exchanges with fellow geocachers from all around the world! This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with fellow geocachers, share a little piece of your world, and receive a postcard from a mystery partner.
Last year’s exchange was warmly received by many participants from different places, and I’d love to invite you to join this year’s exchange as well.
If you're interested in exchanging postcards with other players, please fill out this form by 23rd September 2025
The postcard exchange is optional, you don't need to join the exchange to attend the event.
