Ahoy, geocachers!!!
BIG NEWS! The Signal's Island Blockparty crew will get the adventure under way in the morning! But tonight... we party like it's our last night stranded on the island!
So, before things get shipwreck-level crazy tomorrow, join us for a chill evening as we gather around a cozy island bonfire. There'll be fire (on purpose), snacks (if you bring them), a chance to pick up your registration packet and plenty of time to mingle, relax and pretend we know how to survive without Wi-Fi.
When and where:
- Friday evening, October 3rd
- 5pm to 8pm (I usually stay after posted time, but there's no obligation)
- Ski Beach, San Diego Bay (Ski Beach is located on east side of Vacation Isle off of Ingraham Street)
What to bring:
- S'mores fixings
- Munchies (food is allowed onsite but no glass containers. Alcohol is not permitted)
- Firewood (or driftwood, or twigs, or maybe a broken oar?)
- A chair or blanket (or sit on a coconut -- totally your call)
- Towels (you can play in the water)
- Your TOTTs (not the edible kind) as there are geocaches to find in the area
Waypoints are listed for:
- Two parking lots near the bonfire pit area (one large and one small)
- The 'Registration packet pick-up' table area
- The bonfire pit (event location) area
There are restrooms and a children's play are nearby
Let's enjoy one last relaxing night before the adventure begins.
