The posted coords are for the parking lot at the Palms Restaurant.
The sign "The End of the World" is at the additional waypoint, about 700 feet from the parking lot. DO NOT DRIVE TO THE SIGN, YOU WILL GET STUCK IN THE SAND!
The big, upright silver Hollywood-sign-style letters were created in 2022 by artist Jack Pierson. He describes this patch of desert -- locally nicknamed Wonder Valley -- as "a place known for those who drop off the edge of civilization."
Come check out the sign, take photos, and if you'd like, join us for dinner at the Palms Restaurant. I will be at the restaurant with the log book. Not sure if we'll be at the inside tables or the outside tables, so dress accordingly for the weather. Sunset is at 5:58 p.m.
