Picnic in Peekskill 2025! 🎉



What originally started as a (mostly harmless 😊) diner event in 2010 quickly evolved to become an annual summer event for the Lower Hudson Geocachers. However, due to a variety of circumstances, we were unable to host in 2017, and... although its been hit/miss since 2022... Picnic in Peekskill is BACK to celebrate our local community and, of course: International Geocaching Day 🥳

Volunteers are helpful! The more we have, the better it will be. Here are a few positions that would improve the experience:
- Grand Master of New Hides (Geocache Placements)
- F&B Department Chair (Food Oversight)
- Gift Shop Manager (Raffle Cooordination)

For parking, if you print the attached permit (from the photo gallery) and show the booth attendant, total cost per vehicle (unless it changed since the last event) will be $5. Without the permit or a Westchester County Parks pass, it's $10.

If you have an item that you'd like to donate for the raffle, please bring it with you and we will place it on the table! Tickets will be sold on site, and a drawing will take place after everyone has been fed.

An optional contribution is being requested from attendees to help cover the cost of renting this picnic area. Surplus (if any) will be applied back into future LoHud events, so whatever is comfortable enough to spare would be greatly appreciated!

Pets are (sort of) allowed. Trail use is okay, but only service animals can be at/around the designated picnic areas.

Comfort Stations are located in close proximity to the event site.
