Waves (formerly Flames) of the FAP
Let’s face it—no GHAGAFAP weekend ever truly feels complete without a good ol’ Flames of the FAP gathering. Unfortunately, City of Hamilton bylaws prohibit open fires within the city without a valid burn permit, so this year, we’re switching it up!
Since weather by the lake is about as predictable as a GPSr in a parking garage, the event description is intentionally vague. Think of it as a choose-your-own-adventure beach hangout.
Join us at the posted coordinates dressed for... whatever Mother Nature throws at us: beachwear, winter coats, or that one hoodie you claim is “water-resistant.” We'll marvel at the water doing its thing—crashing, rolling, or just kind of giving up and lapping lazily at the shore. And as the sun sets gloriously (or not), we’ll enjoy the view—whether it’s a jaw-dropping sunset, mysterious fog, light-filtering smog, or ominous thunderclouds rolling in like they’ve got beef.
Be sure to bring your own lawn chair / umbrella / personal flotation device / all of the above.
And yes—this beach is dog friendly! So leash up your four-legged geo-buddy and bring them along for some tail-wagging socializing.
SUNSET is at 9:03
