Sheboygan claims Wisconsin's first geocache, simply named "Geocache" and hidden on August 27, 2000. The tribute geocache "First Down Wisconsin" now holds the space that "Geocache" once did.
Celebrate this history with the Sheboygan County Museum. Geocachers of all ages, passions, and experience levels are welcome to drop in and explore the fun. The county will be populated with specially-made geocaches that pay homage to geocaching history and Sheboygan County history. More details to come.
