Geocache Description:

A hide on the short Fassifern Rail Trail

The Fassifern rail line opened from Ipswich to Harrisville in 1882 and finally extended to Dugandan in 1887.  Mount Edwards line branched off at Munbilla in 1916 and closed in 1960.  The line to Boonah was closed past Churchill (in Ipswich) in 1964.

From near this location the line continued south across the Boona to Aratula road, crossing the flats on a low bridge depicted in a photo shown with the nearby "Another Era" cache (which you could access from the trail if you haven't found it already).

You are looking  for a small tethered bison .  Sorry about the thorny vines, but take care and you will come away unscathed.
