From this point on Greyhope Road, you are looking across the Harbour Mouth and Mouth of the River Dee towards Footdee ( or Fittie as known locally) a historic fishing village. Looking to the left you will see the Round House - the former Harbour Masters Station built in 1798 and to the right, its replacement, the glossy Maritime Operations Centre which opened in 2006.
The downward sloping path to your right takes a short but pleasant route to the South Breakwater with steps leading back up to Greyhope Road close to the Torry Battery. Otherwise this stretch road is closed to vehicular traffic.
There is plenty of parking at the Battery accessed via St Fitticks Road by the South Harbour. Other wise there is space for parking on St Fitticks Road accessed via Victoria Road.
