We are welcoming Vermont's first Adventure Lab Geo-art at this short meet and greet. Today our first labs will go public.
The geoart is one of many adventure lab geoarts going up, all over the country. Recently MA and NH completed theirs. RI is in the works. Like them, ours will spell out our state's abbreviation. VT. Like the others, each adventure lab will have some theme about our state.
We are meeting in the parking lot of Hartford's Maxfield Outdoor Complex, on Route 5. Bring a lawn chair if you like, and come to do the caches here if you haven't yet. The new Adventure Labs are accessible here, although the virtual art will be located at the nearby Vermont Welcome Center, which is Southbound on 91. You don't have to go there today. We are testing the geofence here. Most, if not all of geoart should be available from here.
This is a work in progress. Currently we have most of the V promised. Will you have an available Adventure lab credit, and an idea for a Vermont theme? We would love to talk with you about it, and this event would be a great place to do so. You can also donate a credit if you want someone else to design the labs You would still be CO.
This is adventure lab weekend, so anyone who completes at least one stage of an Adventure Lab will get a souvenir. If you have done all the other labs in the area, this will give you a new chance for that souvenir.
After our event, some of us will be going across the river to get some dinner at PB. You are welcome there too.
Come help us set the virtual cornerstone for the VT adventure lab geoart, get your souvenir, and see your geocaching friends.
