车陂村别名龙溪，东接东圃大马路，西至车陂路，南临中山大道，北联黄埔大道，面积1.82平方公里，常住人口139729人;设东岸、西岸、西华、龙口、沙美五个社区。民国时期《粤东简氏大同谱》记载车陂村两次改名:“承直定迁番禺、居鹿步司永泰乡。宋亡，乡人王道夫勤王而没，其孙主龙溪为忠臣后，乡人重之，改乡名日龙溪乡。迨明亡，乡人王邦畿効忠明室，抗节不屈，乡人惧祸，乃改乡名日车陂乡”。在明清时期车陂北侧有一条官路，车马络绎不绝，是有“车”;龙溪上游筑陂拦水灌溉农田,是有“陂”，有车有陂，故名“车陂”。

His grandson, as the descendant of a loyal minister, was honored by the villagers, and the village's name was changed to Longxi Village. When the Ming dynasty fell, a villager named Wang Bangji stayed loyal to the Ming royal family and remained unyielding in his integrity.
