Al centro della piazza la scultura in bronzo "La Grande Avventura", realizzata da Bruno Cassinari, pittore e scultore piacentino di grande fama del secondo Novecento. La scultura, un cavallo con cavaliere nella sua base in granito riporta i celebri versi di Salvatore Quasimodo: “Ognuno sta solo sul cuore della terra/trafitto da un raggio di sole/ed è subito sera.”

This geocache will take you to one of the most historic and characteristic corners of Piacenza: Piazzetta Tempio.
At the center of the square stands the bronze sculpture "La Grande Avventura", created by Bruno Cassinari, a renowned painter and sculptor from Piacenza, who was one of the most prominent artists of the Italian mid-20th century. The sculpture, a horse with a rider, rests on a granite base inscribed with the famous lines by Salvatore Quasimodo: “Each of us is alone on the heart of the earth / pierced by a ray of sun / and suddenly it is evening.”
Two historic buildings surround the square: Palazzo Scotti da Vigoleno, now the seat of the Prefecture, and Palazzo Marliani-Anguissola.
Piazzetta Tempio is also one of the stops on the Liberation Urban Trekking route.
