Il fabbricato della Cavallerizza dell’ex Caserma Cantore, insieme agli edifici adiacenti e all'area verde circostante, si trova sugli antichi orti del Convento dei Canonici Lateranensi. Questo complesso è significativo per la storia di Sant'Agostino e, successivamente, per il Genio Militare. La sua importanza nella storia urbanistica di Piacenza è evidente nel passaggio da un ruolo religioso a uno militare.
The Cavallerizza building of the former Caserma Cantore, along with the adjacent structures and the surrounding green area, is located on the ancient gardens of the Convent of the Lateran Canons. This complex is significant to the history of Saint Augustine and, later, to the Military Engineering Corps. Its importance in the urban history of Piacenza is evident in the transition from a religious to a military role.
