Brutalism [Ashgabat] Traditional Cache

The monument must has been created in 1968 and this date is discretely engraved on the floor together with a Soviet star.

The monument itself consists of a relief sculpture depicting Soviet soldiers and it includes a text in Russian which roughly says it's dedicated to the students and teachers of school № 18 fallen during the Big Patriotic War as the Soviets designated the Second World War.

This monument is not easy to spot. It's located in a quiet corner of Ashgabat, not far from the main city bus terminal and a lively market in Teke area. In fact, it's kind of lost in a corner of a wide empty and neglected lot.

The cache is a metal tube and is hidden in front of the monument behind the vase on the left side.
