Reynolds Hall is the new home to West Virginia University’s John Chambers College of Business & Economics. Prior to its opening in 2022, in its place stood a building called Stansbury Hall.
Stansbury was famous for decades, particularly from the 1930s through the 1960s for being the home of WVU basketball. This is the spot where Jerry West, among others, made a name for himself before heading onto tremendous success in the NBA.
Whether 100 years ago or right here today, this spot has consistently been a staple of WVU’s Downtown area of campus.
To find this geocache, though, you need to step into the present and look for the past.
On the third floor of Reynolds Hall, right near the entrance of the building from the walking bridge from the PRT, you’ll find a section of the old Stansbury Hall basketball court. This piece of history helps to recognize the significant sporting achievements over the years.
This cache is best completed when Reynolds Hall is open to the public. Those times can change, so check out this website for the most updated information: https://facilitiesmanagement.wvu.edu/operations/fall-building-hours.
