Another shot for CITO before the end of 2024 Season 2. Come out to help clean a small part of the bosque, officially part of the Rio Grande Valley State Park - "managed cooperatively by the city Open Space Division and the Middle Rio Grande Conservancy District." This CITO event runs from 9:00 to 10:30, giving time for anyone going to Santa Fe, but any time you can spend helps!
I will try to have a couple of 'guys with trucks' lined up but would appreciate any other help hauling if needed.
Garbage bags and some water will be provided. I will also bring non-latex plastic gloves if needed. Bring grabbers, buckets, extra water, and gloves if you want them. Sun protection is highly recommended and closed-toe footwear is a must.
Posted coordinates are for parking and gathering just north and off Central Ave west of the bridge. Be careful pulling in on this busy road, but you can from either westbound or eastbound. Just don't use the ART bus lane! There are several bosque trails near the river and surely some garbage.
Of course all logging attendees will earn the background Cache In Trash Out® CITO 2024 Season 2 souvenir!
