Tweed Shire Council maintains many parks and gardens in the beachside community of Casuarina. One of these is on the corner of Cedarwood court and Casuarina Way. Here, you will find a small unnamed park area, with a picnic setting and free BBQ. This little park is surprisingly quiet, even if the surrounding area is a hub of activity with people coming to and from the gym, pool, restaurant, shops, and surfing academy in the Casuarina Rec Centre precinct. Despite all this surrounding activity, the little park is surprisingly tranquil. It is a nice spot to sit and relax and take in the scenery. Due to its orientation and elevation, it offers a good view of the sunset. Why not use the free BBQ and have a picnic in the park? Or you could stop to just pick up another little cache and sit for a bit to enjoy the view while writing in the log. Remember to bring a pen!
