I thought I would bring you to this location site, just outside of Allora. Site of Talgai West State School 1902-1963. This is actually a replacement cache for one which has been archived - 'Remembering Talgai West State School'. I think it's nice to rehide caches, for all to find and see these locations.
Queensland Government Website advises - Talgai West Provisional School No. 987 opened on 22 September 1902. It became Talgai State School from 17 April 1916. The school had a small attendance and opened and closed a number of times. For example, it became a half time school from 1 July 1920, closed on 31 October 1921 and reopened on 19 July 1922 as a full time school. The school closed on 27 August 1962, subsequently reopened and closed finally on 13 December 1963.
