This cache is in the Keevie Lake Natural Area, owned by King County. Keevie Lake is a shallow lake, about 26 acres in size, located just east of Black Diamond, Washington. Crisp creek is the outlet stream from the lake. The picture below was taken from the north end of the lake. It was taken many years ago when my kids were little. The trees and plants have grown considerably since then!

There is an unmarked trail head in the 101 Pines neighborhood that leads to a woodland road that circles the north end of the lake. I have put shared geo-coordinates for the parking near the trail head. At the beginning, the trail is lined with blackberry bushes, but they are trimmed back. Just watch that an eager vine doesn't grab you! Also, be aware that the dirt road leading around the south end of the lake enters private propery, so keep to the north end of the lake. There is likely some access for fishing at the far north end of the lake.
The geocache is a puzzle cache, so it is easy to spot. Everything you need to open the cache is available at the cache. The trick is to determine how to access the log book. Please do not pry on the cache or remove any of the fasteners. Doing so will damage the cache. When you figure out how to unlock it, it opens easily. Please do not log the cache as "found" if you have not signed the log book.
When you have finished, please return the cache as you found it.
If you get stuck, or think the cache has been damaged, please send me a note or text me. My phone number is printed on the bottom of the cache. I live nearby in 101 Pines.
