Parlely's Mystery 1 - Runic Quest
Update: after some consultation about obscure languages and writing systems I updated the difficulty level to 4.
The cache is NOT at the posted coordinates. Stealth required. It is hidden at a busy place.
This cache is dedicated to my grandfather who explained this writing system to me. This system was used sporadically in the land of some of my ancestors between the 9th and 17th centuries.
It has been resurrected and modernized in the 19th and early 20th century.
You have to figure out the language and the writing system to solve this puzzle.
Clue 1. Usually when I sign a cache I use the date format YYYY.MM.DD.
Clue 2. I’m neither Japanese nor Mongol. I was born in Europe.
Clue 3. Historical twist: the writing system wasn’t used within the current borders of my country of origin.
Clue 4. To make things easier I used the modern language and not a historical dialect. I also used the modernized version of the writing system.
Clue 5. It looks runic but it is not.
