CITO 2024 : Season 2
Attend a CITO between 1st September - 30th November to earn the souvenir
🌳🌿 PATH TRIMMING AT THE OAK MEADOW, ROBINSWOOD HILL 🌿🌳
This CITO event is set to last for 3 hours and some attendees like to stay for the entire session, however this is not an obligation.
Please feel free to turn up whenever is convenient and just stay as long as you wish.
Parking: Robinswood Hill Country Park has a large free car park (see parking waypoint). Access from Reservoir Road.
Where: We will meet up by the Rangers Station (see reference waypoint) at 09:30 to collect tools, then head off towards the work site at the Oak Meadow. For anyone arriving later, head for the main event coordinates and folllow the path along until you find us.
What: We will be trimming the hedgeline along the footpath at the base of the Oak Meadow, chopping back bramble growth that is encroaching on to the path and removing any overhanging branches.
How: The Countryside Ranger will be there providing guidance and tools. Please bring your own work gloves if possible, and if you wish to use your own tools (shears, loppers, secateurs) please do bring them along. Don't worry if you don't have tools as the Ranger will have a supply.
Health and Safety: The session and will be covered by council insurance as long as you are working under the Countryside Ranger's instruction.
Please bring a drink for breaktime. Homemade cake will be provided. 😁
