This church was originally built around 1837 as an independent chapel. The church claimed to have been formed in 1780 and a certificate for meetings in a private house is dated January 1788 (believed to be Acton Cottage in the High Street where there apparently still graves in the garden). The schoolroom was completed in 1850. The church became a Congregational chapel and then in 1972 on uniting with the Presbyterians, became the United Reformed Chapel.
It is a Grade II listed building and is described as: Red brick with a plain tile hipped roof. Tall rendered plinth, dentil eaves cornice. Single storey. The north elevation has three tall round-arched windows with glazing bar sashes and to the left a similar but shorter window set high up. Below is a round-arched doorway with panelled door and fanlight. Later single storey porch to west. Two round-arched windows to east, set high up. Later gabled range to south east not of special interest. The interior has a gallery at the east end.
The cache is a short distance away and at what I hope you will agree is a nice location, since the road the church is on is quite busy. To find the cache look at the end of the bridge over Repton Brook where there is some information from the water company. The cache is at N52 50.ABC W001 32.DEF where

Logging Etiquette
Geocache hiders sometimes go through a great deal of planning to place their caches. As a result, they'd like to hear your feedback on whether you liked or disliked any aspect of the hide, or if you feel that some cache maintenance is required. Single word, acronym, or emoticon logs may be easier when you have a lot of caches to log, but it doesn't tell the hider or other finders anything about your adventure (or lack thereof) in finding the cache. Please keep this in mind when entering your log.
