The Riddle
The dance Of The Hollow Ones Beneath the soil, where the sun never Gleams,
Lie skeletons dreaming their ancient dreams.
Bones once buried, forgotten,
laid still, Now rise in the night with a sinister will.
Through cracked tombstones,
they slip from the deep,
Awoken by whispers that disturb their sleep.
Their sockets are hollow,
but they see through the veil,
Hearing the wind's haunted,
ghostly wail. In silence,
they gather, a chorus of bone,
Each step a reminder of Flesh they've outgrown.
Rattling and swaying, they Form in a ring,
And under the moonlight, they begin to sing.
The music is eerie, a dirge without sound,
As bony feet tap on the cold, hallowed ground.
A dance macabre, a feast for the dead,
Their jaws locked in grins,
though no words are said.
But beware, for they watch with their empty gaze,
Seeking fresh souls to join their lost maze.
Once you're ensnared in their rattling embrace,
Your bones, too, will rise and take their place.
So tread lightly at night, where shadows do creep,
