Velkommen til Idrettsforeningen Pors. Du står nå på utsiden av Pors Stadion. IF Pors ble grunnlagt 25 Mai 1905 av Karl Tranberg og Knut Andersen. Opprinnelig het de Lyn, men da de i 1913 ble tatt opp i NFF måtte de bytte navn for å unngå forveksling med Lyn, Oslo og Lyn, Gjøvik.
Pors fotball har stort fokus på barn, og har fjernet medlemskontingenten for alle under 13 år. Videre får barn og unge oppfølging av fysioterapeut ved skade, på lik linje med A-lag.
Men IF Pors er mye mer enn fotball. De har også håndball, turn, cheerleading, boksing, ski og innebandy.

Welcome to the Sports Association Pors. You are now standing outside the Pors Stadium. IF Pors was founded on 25 May 1905 by Karl Tranberg and Knut Andersen. Originally they were called Lyn, but when they were admitted to the NFF in 1913 they had to change their name to avoid confusion with Lyn, Oslo and Lyn, Gjøvik.
Pors football has a strong focus on children, and has removed the membership fee for anyone under the age of 13. Furthermore, children and young people receive follow-up by a physiotherapist in the event of an injury, on the same lines as the A team.
But IF Pors is much more than football. They also have handball, gymnastics, cheerleading, boxing, skiing and floorball.
