Weymouth Quay Railway opened in 1865 by the Great Western Railway, the harbour tramway ran from a junction north of the main station, through the streets adjacent to the Backwater and the harbour, to the quay. Passenger trains began in 1889, transporting travellers to Channel Island ferries.
I am on my travels to Weymouth with Bradshaws65. We would very much like to meet other cachers to discuss our great hobby and caching local area. We will be at the published coordinates and look forward to meeting local and visiting cachets. Look out for the log book on the table.
