One of the many "off the main road" paths in the Arb. This one is skirting the golf course and Broadmoor and has a great view of many trees from Australia and New Zealand AND the composting toilet.

The Washington Park Arboretum (https://botanicgardens.uw.edu/washington-park-arboretum/) saved me during the pandemic and continues to be a source of wonder and beauty during every season. This series, which covers some of my most treasured routes, was placed with permission if it involved no sensitive plant or off-trail trampling – there is no need to step on anything green except a bit of walking grass in a few spots. The walk from the first cache to the last cache and back takes approximately 60 minutes, not including search time. With thanks to all the series CO’s from all over the world that provided fun and exploration of beautiful spaces to our family during the summer of 2024 and allowed us to get to our 1000th cache! Lastly, my geocaching philosophy is it should not take more than 5 mins to find a cache. I have left telling hints for each cache for those who want an easy find.
