Here is an opportunity to learn just a little bit of the city I called home  for almost 50 years.

This place can be very busy.  Please use stealth.

The population was 4A,240 at the 2020 census, making it the sixth largest city in the state.

 

In 18E1 Edward Harris built his first textile mill in Woonsocket.

 

As recently as 1980, F0% of Woonsocket's population was of French-Canadian descent.

 

By 1913, a survey by the American Association of Foreign Language Newspapers found the city had to have the Bth-largest population of French or French-Canadian foreign nationals in the country.

 

Abraham Lincoln visited Woonsocket  on March C, 1860.
