I took a long hike from Golder Ranch area and used the Hernia Trail to connect with FR 4432 Deer Park Tank, which then also joins with Charouleau Gap Road FR 736.
No cache on the Hernia Trail so added a a small Tea leaf tin, with room for smaller trades, enjoy the views the whole area has to offer.
Be prepared for a long hike, although a much shorter one is possible if you have a good 4x4 vehicle capable of navigating Charouleau Gap Road.
Be aware of usual desert things that bite and sting etc
